# createExternalPayout

> Send money from a cash balance to an external payee's bank account over ACH.

Send money from one of the authenticated user's cash balances to an external bank account held by a third party, over standard ACH.
The cash balance is debited right away and the response status is always `PENDING`. The money leaves Fluz in the next ACH file.
Requires MAKE\_PAYOUT\_TRANSFER\_SEND scope.
A payee whose [`status`](https://docs.fluz.app/api-reference/types/external-payee-status) is `REVIEW` is refused with error code `PT-0009` unless the input sets `acknowledgeReview: true`.

## Arguments

**input** `CreateExternalPayoutInput!` *required*

The payee, the source cash balance, the amount, and an idempotency key.

## Returns

[`ExternalPayoutResult`](https://docs.fluz.app/api-reference/types/external-payout-result) — The created payout, including the fee and the total debited.
