# ExternalPayoutStatus

> The lifecycle status of an external payout.

**Enum**

The lifecycle status of an external payout.
`createExternalPayout` always returns `PENDING`: the sender is debited right away, but the money leaves Fluz in the next ACH file.

## Values

**PENDING** `enum value`

The payout was created and the cash balance was debited. The money has not
left Fluz yet.

**PROCESSING** `enum value`

The payout is being processed.

**COMPLETED** `enum value`

The payout is complete.

**FAILED** `enum value`

The payout failed.

**FAILED\_INITIAL** `enum value`

The payout failed when it was first submitted.

**CANCELED** `enum value`

The payout was cancelled before it was sent.

**REFUNDED** `enum value`

The payout amount was returned to the cash balance.

**RETURNED** `enum value`

The recipient's bank returned the payout.
