Terminate an embedded payment widget session so the user can no longer complete it. Authenticated with the operator’s application (Basic auth) credentials — the same application whose secret signed the operator token that opened the session. The session cannot be reopened: the user is refused on their next navigation or refresh inside the widget, and cannot revive the session by reloading. Terminating a session the user has not opened yet is supported and is the safest way to cancel a payment you have already handed off. Termination is idempotent — terminating an already-terminated session succeeds — but it is refused in two cases, each of which means the money question is already settled:
  • the session’s payout is currently executing (409). Wait for the outcome; do not retry blindly.
  • the session has already completed (409). There is nothing left to terminate.
Note that termination takes effect on the user’s next navigation inside the widget; it does not close an already-rendered screen.
